Media, Tech, Politics and What I will be Doing at the Democratic & GOP National Conventions 2008
[cross-posted @ Women in Media and News]
I have been asked by the Women’s Campaign Forum to blog, post audio and video for the Democratic and Republican National Conventions. I will be posting profiles of pro-choice Women Political Leaders in both parties. I will be talking to delegates, everyday “Women on the Street”, and keeping you updated on what is happening on the floor and around the conventions.
The bi-partisan nature of the organization will be reflected in the various posts with balanced, objective and positive views of women in politics, tech and media. To my family if you see negative posts about me don’t worry it is just the world of politics. To my colleagues & women bloggers, whom may know that I fight for the rights of those least likely heard, this is an important election and we should all be involved in the process. I look forward to your genuine/authentic comments and feedback. These posts are the beginning of the adventure!
In addition, Addie and I have joined voices on issues we feel deserve a diverse perspective. Here is another example of our collaborations:
Memo to Obama: Let the Floor Vote Roll. In future posts, I will collaborate with women leaders like Riane Eilser and Dr. Eleanor Hinton Hoyt. I will twist the arms [or call in favors] of women like Eleanor Smeal and Julianne Malveaux to sit down long enough for interviews. I will post profiles of past and current Congress Members such as Connie Morella and Carolyn Maloney.
Follow me through the weeks ahead with C-Span, Lifetime, BlogHer, Huffington Post, MomoCrats, Women in Media & News, National Council of Women’s Organizations and others. Women’s Campaign Forum’s Blog will be up at the beginning of the conventions.
As always check for my posts here at Women in Media and News and my blog Women Wired In for updates in the coming weeks. C-Span loved the post C-Span is Following “Us” to the Conventions. Yes, they told me they did, it’s not word of mouth!
